About Hearts and Hands ECA Quilt Guild

Hearts and Hands is part of the Extension and Community Association (ECA) of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service in Lee County. The volunteers of ECA partner with the Family and Consumer Science program of Lee County Extension. As  a non-profit organization, community service is  part of our undertakings.  

Victory Junction:We donated 67 quilts for children at Victory Junction in April of 2025. We hope to break the record in 2026. (Guidelines can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.)

Quilts for Vets:  We honored 14 veterans with patriotic quilts in 2025. Guild members are encouraged to participate by making a quilt for the veterans, or making blocks for these quilts. Quilts should be ~ 60 x 76 inches. 

We donated 20 pillowcases to Ryan's Case for Smiles in May 2023.

NICU:  Quilts should be 36" x 36", 100% cotton fabric, batting, and thread; please do not use minky or metalic fabric or thread.
We have provided quilts to organizations for use and to raise funds through raffles. 

We have made financial donations to Hurricane Relief, Camp Royall Scholarship Fund, and collected supplies to be donated to Haven House.

We hold beginning quilting workshops every year, and include classes, demonstrations, and workshops for members during the monthly meetings.
